Summary:Stoichiometric BaMoO 4 thin films were prepared by chemical solution processing. The characterization of the crystal structure and surface morphology of the film was carried out. The influences of the solvent and the anneal temperature on film fabrication were studied. The photoluminescence properties of the BaMoO 4 films were measured. The results reveal that the BaMoO 4 thin films are well crystallized films even near room temperature, the films derived from glycerine solution are characteristic of oriented growth when they are annealed at above 550°C, and the films given a green emission peaking at 518 nm with the excitation of 20 eV photons.
