Summary: | Polycrystalline alkaline earth molybdate films, such as BaMoO

, have been prepared by cell electrochemical method on molybdenum substrates in alkaline solutions at room temperature respectively. XRD patterns reveal that the films are well crystallized with single tetragonal scheelite structure. SEM observation shows that the grains of the films have regular pyramidal shape and the size of the grains is about 1-2 μm. Photoluminescence measurements at room temperature demonstrates that CaMoO
4
film exhibits single green emission at 510 nm, and SrMoO
4
film at 520 nm respectively at the excitation of 220 nm, and BaMoO
4
film shows no emission. |
