Summary:The introduction of global endometrial ablation technology during the past decade has revolutionized the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding. These minimally invasive treatment options have fewer risks than traditional procedures, are faster, and have shorter recovery times for patients. As technology has advanced, so has the shift away from performing ablations in the operating room. With proper patient selection, equipment, and anesthesia techniques, endometrial ablation can be performed safely and effectively in the office setting.
