Summary: | This study aimed to establish reference ranges of the Century Clot® coagulation and platelet function analyzer (CPA) for pregnant women at ≥37 weeks of gestation. A total of 300 patients were included in this study. Use Century Clot coagulation and platelet function analyzer to analyze the venous blood of the subjects. Numerical values were recorded and differences in coagulation function indicators between normal full-term pregnant women and healthy non-pregnant women were compared, including activated clotting time (ACT), fibrin coagulation rate (CR), and platelet function (PF). Significant differences were observed in the results of relevant indicators measured using the CPA between women with late pregnancy and healthy non-pregnant women (P < .0001). The reference range for parameters of CPA in late pregnancy (pregnancy > 37 weeks) is determined by percentile method as follows: ACT 75.10 to 112.00 seconds, CR 23.20 to 46.98 mm/minute, PF 3.10 to 5.10 units. Compared with non-pregnant women, ACT in late-pregnancy women detected by the CPA decreased physiologically, while fibrin CR and PF increased. The establishment of a specific reference interval for ACT, CR, and PF in pregnant women is valuable for clinical practice. |
