Summary:Multi-morphology PbS: frame–film structures, twin nanorods, and single-crystal films have been prepared by a polymer-assisted solvothermal route in the presence of poly[N-(2-Aminoethyl)acrylamide] in the range of 110–150°C. Of particular interest is that the as-made samples have novel and regular geometric morphologies. The frame–film structures are composed of thin films and closed frames. The twin nanorods with ca. 100 nm in diameter and several micrometers in length are the two parallel nanorods linked by thin films. PbS single-crystal films were for the first time prepared by a simple chemical route.
