Accuracy of Visible and Ultraviolet Light for Estimating Live Root Proportions with Minirhizotrons

A study was designed to determine the accuracy of estimating the live proportion of fine roots using visible and UV light sources in a minirhizotron camera system. Both visible and UV light estimated live root proportions with similar accuracy.
