Release and targeting of polycystin-2-carrying ciliary extracellular vesicles

Wang et al. examine sensory-evoked ciliary extracellular vesicle (EV) release and targeting in C. elegans. They find that males deposit PKD-2-carrying EVs onto the vulva of the hermaphrodite during mating and that mechanical stimulation triggers release of these PKD-2-carrying vesicles from cilia.
