Summary:Viscosity is a crucial rheological property essential in predicting the behaviour of any fluid. It is vital to expect the fluid flow trend in various processes. This paper surveys multiple methods to find the viscosity of liquefied metals and different fluids. These methods include capillary, oscillating, rotational, draining vessels, etc. Several models are surveyed that can estimate the viscosity of fluids. The temperature dependency of viscosity is also provided. The paper includes various devices based on different working principles and correlations proposed by multiple authors for determining the viscosity of fluids. The article helps the researchers select the appropriate viscometer, method, and correlation to estimate their research's fluid viscosity.
