Summary:A design of a flat-chamber-type electrobaromembrane apparatus for separating industrial solutions with equal area of cathode- and anode-adjoined membranes is developed. A procedure is proposed for calculating (based on determination of geometric and design parameters of the flat-chamber-type electrobaromembrane apparatus) to determine such parameters of the apparatus as the total membrane area (i.e., the effective separation area), the area of cathode- and anode-adjoined membranes (with and without account of screening elements), and the total volume of the solution being separated in unit volume of the proposed device.
