Investigation into constitutive behaviour for thin sheet based micro forming

The present paper investigated the influence of t/d (thickness/average grain size) on yield stress and tangent modulus in the micro tensile test of CuZn36 sheets. By using the double-linear elastic-plastic constitutive equation, the constitutive relation of size effects was established. The relation...

Summary:The present paper investigated the influence of t/d (thickness/average grain size) on yield stress and tangent modulus in the micro tensile test of CuZn36 sheets. By using the double-linear elastic-plastic constitutive equation, the constitutive relation of size effects was established. The relation was based on the Mises yield criterion, the kinematic hardening model, and the experimental results from the micro tensile test. The incremental method flow chart was also obtained, which was used as a guideline in finite element analysis.
