Parameter optimization and performance comparison of several power cycles for waste heat recovery from moderate temperature flue gas
Focus on waste heat power recovery from flue gas of initial temperature of 350-550ºC, comparative assessment was carried out on the net power outputs of organic Rankine cycle(ORC), organic trans-critical cycle(OTC), single pressure steam cycle, dual-pressure steam cycle, flash steam cycle and ethano...

Summary: | Focus on waste heat power recovery from flue gas of initial temperature of 350-550ºC, comparative assessment was carried out on the net power outputs of organic Rankine cycle(ORC), organic trans-critical cycle(OTC), single pressure steam cycle, dual-pressure steam cycle, flash steam cycle and ethanol/water-RC based on parameter and configuration optimization. The results show that ethanol/water-RC gives the highest net power output among all the cycles within the whole initial temperature range considered. ORC’s and OTC’s net power outputs are greater than the steam cycles’ until the initial temperature of flue gas exceeds 500ºC. |
