Summary:When a segmental resection of mandibular bone is necessary in the case of benign or malignant tumors, it is desirable to prevent a facial deformity and to provide a normal occlusion postoperatively. To solve these problems, the concept of immediate reconstruction using the patient's own prefrozen mandibular bone was introduced by Weaver et al. This report describes a case of ossifying fibroma of mandible that was treated by this method combined with anastomosis of the mental nerve.
