Summary:Strongyloides stercoralis infection is a common cause of abdominal pain and diarrhea worldwide. Usually a chronic and limited disease, it can present a therapeutic dilemma when infection is overwhelming, such as what might occur in an immunosuppressed patient. Here we present a case of strongyloides hyperinfection treated successfully with a veterinary formulation of parenteral ivermectin.
