Summary: | Epidermolysis bullosa is a hereditary rare condition characterized with local and generalized lesions and autosomal dominant trait with variable penetrance. It was decided to amputate the left leg under the knee of a female patient with epidermolysis bullosa with squamous cell carcinoma. The smallest trauma may cause formation of serious bullous in the skin in epidermolysis bullosa. Surgeons, dermatologists, and anesthesiologists must evaluate the cases. During preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative periods, all interventions that may cause interruption in circulation of the tissues cause irritation, or delay healing of the wounds must be avoided. |
