Summary:Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) in children has been reported to be associated with various constitutional anomalies; however, it has not been described previously in patients with Griscelli syndrome (GS). In this report, we present a case with GS and refractory anemia with an excess of blasts. We believe that careful evaluation of peripheral blood and bone marrow could increase the number of patients who are found to have GS-associated MDS.
