Summary: | Results are presented of research and industrial testing for cast iron modified with carbon nanostructures for use in filling stubs of pre-baked aluminum electrolyser anodes. Modified cast iron, prepared under iron casting conditions of operating aluminum production, is 28% stronger than normal grey cast iron and more acid resistant; the weight loss on treatment with acids is 17% less compared with normal cast iron. |
