Summary:Phase equilibria in Fe–Cr–Mn–S quaternary system at 1843 K were investigated experimentally. Two liquid phases: molten metal alloy phase and molten sulfide phase were in equilibrium in this system at 1843 K. The equilibrium relations between molten metal alloy and sulfide phases were experimentally measured. By using metal/sulfide equilibrium method, activity of constituents in molten MnS–CrS–FeS sulfide phase were determined. By utilizing regular solution model, activity curves of constituents in sulfide phase were estimated.
