Testing QCD at the proton-antiproton collider
The recent UA1 and UA2 data for large- p T jet production are compared with the predictions of perturbative QCD. Using the standard leading log QCD formula, and neglecting all corrections (higher orders, higher twists), we find a good agreement with the UA1 data. On the other hand, the UA2 data are...

Summary: | The recent UA1 and UA2 data for large-
p
T jet production are compared with the predictions of perturbative QCD. Using the standard leading log QCD formula, and neglecting all corrections (higher orders, higher twists), we find a good agreement with the UA1 data. On the other hand, the UA2 data are below our predictions. The theoretical uncertainties due to the value of Λ and to the detailed shape of the gluon distribution are within the experimental errors of the UA1 data. |
