Summary:A series of novel thienopyridazine derivatives has been synthesized using 9-aminodibenzo[ f , h ]thieno[2,3- c ]cinnoline-8-carbonitrile as starting material. The target products exhibit promising antibacterial and antifungal properties against bacterial strains E. coli , S. aureus , B. subtilis , and K. pneumoniae and fungal strains A. fumigatus and C. albicans . The highest antimicrobial activity against all tested microorganisms demonstrate pyridothienocinnoline derivatives.
