Summary: | Basaloid squamous cell carcinoma is a variant of squamous cell carcinoma. This malignancy has a predilection for the upper aerodigestive tract, although it has been found in multiple other sites. The tumor is highly aggressive biologically, and the overall prognosis is poor despite intensive treatment.
