Summary:In this paper, for the characteristic analysis of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor, voltage source finite element analysis, i.e., the combination of a finite element method and circuit equation is applied. A neural network is applied for the minimization of thrust ripple and the optimization of efficiency. Efficiency is increased 2% and thrust ripple ratio is decreased from 1.2% to 0.93%. So, a satisfactory design improving the control ability and efficiency is achieved conclusively.
