Summary:Lanthanide tetrafluoroterephthalates, Ln2ftp3·6H2O (Ln = Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Er, Tm, Yb), (EuxTb1–x)2ftp3·6H2O, and (EuxTb1–x)2ftp3(Phen)2·2H2O (Phen = o‐phenanthroline) were obtained for the first time and studied in detail. Water solutions of the terbium and europium tetrafluoroterephthalates were for the first time successfully used for ink‐jet security luminescent printing. Lanthanide tetrafluoroterephthalates Ln2ftp3·6H2O (Ln = Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Er, Tm, Yb), (EuxTb1–x)2ftp3·6H2O, and (EuxTb1–x)2ftp3(Phen)2·2H2O (Phen = o‐phenanthroline) are obtained for the first time and studied in detail. Water solutions of the terbium and europium tetrafluoroterephthalates are successfully used for ink‐jet security luminescent printing.
