Summary:We propose a selection scheme of closed four bounce modes in a layered square microcavity. We demonstrated our scheme through a lasing experiment by using a fused-silica square capillary containing a dye-doped low refractive index liquid, in which the outer size was smaller than twice the inner size of the capillary. The lasing spectrum appeared as a single periodic cluster corresponding to closed orbits having a refraction angle of 45° in the inner boundary.
