Les auteurs rapportent un cas d'ostéomalacie chez un malade sous traitement prolongé par la rifampicine, pour tuberculose. On suppose que la rifampicine a entraîné cette complication par induction enzymatique hépatique, effet que l'on rencontre avec le traitement par les médicaments anticonvulsifs. Se informa sobre un caso de osteomalacia en un paciente en tratamiento prolongado con rifampicina a causa de una tuberculosis. Se sugiere la hipótesis de que la rifampicina produce esta complicación por induction enzimática hepática, efecto que es conocido en los tratamientos con medicamentos anti-convulsivantes.
