Summary:An efficient and convenient method for synthesis of 3,5-bis-carbamoyl-2,6-dimethylpyridine derivatives was achieved in good to excellent yields by reaction of anilines with 3,5-bis(3',5'-dimethy1-1'-pyrazolyl-carbony1)-2,6- dimethylpyridine, in which pyrazoles served as leaving groups. The structures of products were confirmed by spectra data and microanalysis.
