Summary: | A novel spatiogram‐based person descriptor is well constructed for person re‐identification. The spatiograms are first accumulated on multiple image regions among multiple colour channels. Then the devised feature fuses multi‐channel colour histograms with the first‐ and the second‐order spatial information of the image's vertical axis. A simple but efficient metric is adopted to combine the feature's three distinctive components. The proposed method is compared with other feature‐based methods on a benchmark dataset, achieving significant performance. |
