Summary: | The group functioned in a cohesive manner. Because the Triage First course provided an overview of ESI to the majority of ED nursing staff, the Triage Task Force felt the timing was right to define the path forward for full implementation. Future directions The Triage Task Force has now become the "ED Task Force" with a similar membership representation of staff nurses, an ED nursing educator, an emergency medicine attending physician, an emergency medicine resident physician, and the ED nurse manager reflecting a more global scope, but it is still responsible for periodic reevaluation of triage nurse competency with the ESI model. |
