Aetiology and outcome of paediatric cardiopulmonary arrest

Abstract Paediatric cardiopulmonary arrest is an uncommon event in the general population but is not infrequent in the paediatric hospital setting. This article looks at the causes of arrests in children, the likely outcomes, and the ways in which this can be improved.
