Summary:Although most of the Southeastern Asian countries are known as the area of the biodiversity hotspot, in nevertheless especially Cambodia is poorly known on Insect diversity in these countries. The order Coleoptera is the largest group not only in the class Insecta but also the kingdom Animalia, especially among them, the family Carabidae, which is well known as carnivorous and cosmopolitan. Totally, 285 species including subspecies of 104 genera in 32 tribes belonging to 17 subfamilies in the family Carabidae have been recorded from Cambodia. A list of recorded species from Carabidae, type locality for each species or subspecies and type species for each genera or subgenera, etc. are provided in this study. •A checklist of the family Carabidae from Cambodia is provided, including original descriptions of whole each taxon under genus level.•Totally, 285 species (included 49 subspeceis) in 104 genera (included 80 subgenera) of 40 subtribes in 32 tribes of 17 subfamilies have been recorded in Cambodia.•Full references are provided.
