Summary: | High entropy rocksalt phase of (Co0.2Cu0.2Mg0.2Ni0.2Zn0.2)O generally requires annealing at temperature >850 °C. In this study, a sol-gel auto combustion method was employed to synthesize a phase pure five-component high entropy oxides ((Co0.2Cu0.2Mg0.2Ni0.2Zn0.2)O) at a temperature as low as 185 °C using glycine (C2H5NO2) as combusting fuel and metal nitrates as precursors without the need of post-processing. Uniform elemental distribution was ascertained by elemental mapping in SEM. |
