Summary:A 39-year-old man presented with a subhepatic fluid collection 3 weeks after undergoing a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. This was mistakenly thought to represent an abscess, and a drainage catheter was placed at an outside institution. Upon transfer, the collection was diagnosed as a pseudoaneurysm by spiral computed tomography (CT) and angiography. This is the first report of a pseudoaneurysm complicating laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
