Summary:This journal recently published a Commentary by Ratain and colleagues at the University of Chicago that criticizes our work on cisplatin-induced hearing loss in children. It is unfortunate that neither the authors nor the editors of Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics corresponded with us to provide an earlier opportunity to address these questions. Here we correct the authors' inaccuracies and provide additional analyses that further strengthen our published findings.
