Summary: | The experimental investigations reported in this paper concern a cylindrical, multilayer system of six pairs of plexiglass-Cu layers used as an intermediate staging arrangement for increasing linear velocity. A 3.67-fold increase in the linear velocity and an energy efficiency of 9.4% were achieved. This result is in good agreement with theoretical calculations. The possibility of its wider application in evaluating the parameters of such systems is indicated. |
