Preparation of Mg2Ni base alloy by the combination of mechanical alloying and heat treatment at low temperature

The synthesis of Mg2Ni and Mg2Ni0.7Co0.3 alloys has been carried out through the combination of mechanical-alloying and a subsequent heat treatment at low temperature. These alloys consist of a two-phase mixture Mg2Ni1−xMx+M containing iron impurities.
