Thermoelectric power in single-crystalline CeRhSi3

The thermoelectric power S of a heavy-fermion superconductor CeRhSi 3 has been measured at temperatures from 2.0 K to 300 K under hydrostatic pressures up to 2.7 GPa in order to clarify the Kondo effect in CeRhSi 3 . S exhibits a large value of up to 60 µV/K, which is characteristic of heavyfermion...

Summary:The thermoelectric power S of a heavy-fermion superconductor CeRhSi 3 has been measured at temperatures from 2.0 K to 300 K under hydrostatic pressures up to 2.7 GPa in order to clarify the Kondo effect in CeRhSi 3 . S exhibits a large value of up to 60 µV/K, which is characteristic of heavyfermion systems. S shows a maximum in its temperature dependence mainly due to the Kondo effect, and its maximum temperature T S max gradually increases from 96 K at ambient pressure to 127 K at 2.7 GPa when a pressure is applied.
