The phase equilibria in the Lu–Ni–Sn ternary system were studied at 770
K (up to 50
at.% Sn) and 670
K (more than 50
at.% Sn) by means of X-ray and metallographic analyses in the whole concentration range. The Lu–Ni–Sn system is characterized by formation of 10 ternary intermetallic compounds at investigated temperatures: LuNi

2Ga-type), Lu
