Summary:[Display omitted] •Four new species of Rhagonycha species from Southeast China are described.•A key to Rhagonycha species with yellowish elytra from Southeast China is provided.•A distribution map for Rhagonycha species included in the key is present. Four new species of Rhagonycha Eschscholtz, 1830 are described, including Rh. hainanensis sp. nov. (China, Hainan), Rh. nigroimpressimima sp. nov. (China, Fujian), Rh. tumida sp. nov. and Rh. nigrotibia sp. nov. (China, Guangxi). These new species are illustrated with habitus, aedeagi, abdominal sternites VIII and internal genitalia of females. Besides, the female internal genitalia of Rh. nigroimpressa (Pic, 1922a) is illustrated for the first time to make comparison with the new species. An identification key and a distribution map of those Rhagonycha species with yellowish elytra from southeast China are present.
