Charles Janson is Professor of Ecology and Evolution at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. His research has focused primarily on the relationship between ecology and social behavior in New World primates, emphasizing both quantitative and experimental approaches. His major contributions have been in measuring and clarifying the causes of food competition in primate groups. In his current studies, he is manipulating food availability using many small feeding platforms to understand the spatial foraging decisions of wild capuchin groups. He is co‐editor of the recent book and the forthcoming title Primate Communities ObjectType-Article-2 SourceType-Scholarly Journals-1 ObjectType-Feature-1 content type line 23 |
