Theoretical study of double helical magnetic ordering of FeAs

Double helical magnetic ordering (DHMO) of FeAs is studied from the viewpoint of itinerant d electrons. A simplified tight-binding band is used. First, an instability of the paramagnetic phase at 0 K against formation of a magnetic ordering described by a general wave-vector is studied. Secondly, th...

Summary:Double helical magnetic ordering (DHMO) of FeAs is studied from the viewpoint of itinerant d electrons. A simplified tight-binding band is used. First, an instability of the paramagnetic phase at 0 K against formation of a magnetic ordering described by a general wave-vector is studied. Secondly, the wave-vector and the relative phase angle of the most stable DHMO are calculated at 0 K. Results are in agreement with observations.
