High-selectivity triband bandpass filter based on dual-plane microstrip/slotline structure

ABSTRACT A compact and high‐selectivity triband bandpass filter (BPF) is proposed. The filter has a dual‐plane structure, consisting of a pair of dual‐mode open‐loop microstrip resonators and a dual‐mode slotline resonator. Summary:ABSTRACT A compact and high‐selectivity triband bandpass filter (BPF) is proposed. The filter has a dual‐plane structure, consisting of a pair of dual‐mode open‐loop microstrip resonators and a dual‐mode slotline resonator. Using this structure, three passbands as well as five transmission zeros near the passband edges can be generated simultaneously. The triband BPF operating at 1.2 GHz (GPS application), 1.8 GHz (DCS application), and 2.4 GHz (WLAN application) is designed and fabricated. Measurement results agree well with the simulated results. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 57:2225–2228, 2015
