Summary:This paper presents network models of rectifier transformers for rigorous simulation of rail transit power systems. The performance of traction power systems can be evaluated in detail by applying the EMTP, PSPICE or three-phase power flow programs, when accompanied by the proposed models. The proposed admittance models of the rectifier transformers consider winding connections, off-nominal tappings, and phase-angle displacement between primary and secondary voltages. The proposed models are presented for a 24-pulse rectifier transformer with two four-winding Delta/Delta-Wye connections. One of them has +7.5° phase-shifting in its primary side and the other −7.5° instead.
