A simple colorimetric method for the quantification of Au( iii ) ions and its use in quantifying Au nanoparticles

A simple and sensitive method, based on the redox reaction between 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine and Au 3+ , for the quantification of Au 3+ ions was developed. The method was successfully applied to the rapid and accurate quantification of Au-based nanoparticles.
