Summary: | A new kind of oscillations caused by wavelength stabilization feedback loop, which was observed in SCA/FEL, is theoretically investigated by using a 1D code. The results of numerical simulations confirm the modulations of the electron energy and FEL power, and demonstrate that the oscillations occur regardless of the value of the cavity length detuning. It is found that the frequency creep mainly caused by superradiance results in this kind of limit-cycle-like oscillations. |
