Summary:KRISHEN, A., et al.: Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator T Wave Oversensing Caused by Hyperglycemia. This case report highlights a previously unreported cause of T wave oversensing in a patient with an ICD and recent onset diabetes. Consistent T wave oversensing was observed at elevated serum glucose levels and this finding was reproduced with a glucose challenge. No T wave oversensing was seen during treatment of hyperglycemia. Alterations in serum chemistry may account for intermittent T wave oversensing in patients with ICDs.
