Summary:The paper studies the impact of different amounts and shapes pressure equalizing grooves on hydraulic slide valve spool by simulation analysis. The simulation results show that, the leakage is greater when the spool and valve-sleeve are concentric than the spool is skew as there is no pressure equalizing groove on the spool while it is smaller as there are pressure equalizing grooves on the spool. It also knows whether the spool is skew or not, the leakage is greater when there are rectangular grooves than triangular grooves. This study has very important significance on the research of gap seal and valve design.
