Summary:Industrial parks configured with renewable energy have received extensive attention due to their importance in achieving carbon neutrality in China. However, national or regional policies also set up various constraints for such industrial parks to guarantee the safe and stable operation of the power system, among which the peak shaving ability of the industrial park is the top concern. This paper proposes a quantitative description for peak shaving ability and provides the feasibility verification method for the configuration scheme of renewable energy and energy storage in the industrial park. An actual industrial park scheme in Inner Mongolia is taken as an example, and detailed calculations and simulations are displayed to prove the effectiveness of the proposed method.
