Effect of Biaxial Loading on the Crack Resistance Characteristics of 12Cr–2Ni–Mo Steel

A procedure for the estimation of stress intensity factor values in cross-shaped cracked specimen has been developed, which takes into account loading conditions and specimen shape. It has been shown how biaxial loading affects the fatigue crack growth rate in heat-resistant chromium-nickel alloy.
