Dislocation of the mandibular condyle into the temporal fossa

A case of traumatic anterosuperior dislocation of the mandibular condyle into the temporal fossa is described. This form of dislocation does not seem to have been previously reported. The causative mechanism, diagnostic features and the clinical management are discussed.
