Summary:The optimum adsorbent for a particular gold-recovery application is not necessarily the adsorbent that yields the highest gold loading, but rather the adsorbent that results in the most profitable operation. A preliminary economic evaluation comparing RIL and CIL was carried out for an operation located in West Africa, which treats 40 kt of preg-robbing ore per month.
