Transphosphorylases in the firefly lantern

Evidence is given for the existence in firefly lanterns of enzymes catalyzing xTP + ADP → xDP + ATP. The evidence indicates that these transferring enzymes are present in the “soluble fraction” rather than in particulates separated by differential centrifugation.
